Designed by a Nurse and Special Needs Parent
Our Safe Place Permanent Bed was designed by Jonathon Smith, a registered nurse and father to Skyler, who has Angelman Syndrome. Jonathon discovered that Skyler slept best in enclosed spaces—a game-changer for their family. Jonathan developed the Permanent Bed—an ideal solution for families seeking the same safety and comfort.  Monitor Features
The integrated monitor provides 2K Ultra-HD resolution with outstanding night vision, ensuring clear real-time visuals even in low-light conditions. The 5-inch display captures every detail so you can clearly see your loved one's sleeping face. No Wi-Fi capability—this monitor uses a secure, direct connection with a transmission range of up to 1500 feet, keeping you connected from anywhere in your home.
Designed for convenience, the monitor offers up to 30 hours of battery life (18 hours in on-screen mode) and a soothing 7-color night light. Real-time alerts for sound or temperature changes, as well as two-way audio, allow for immediate responses and extra care when needed.

The monitoring system is a great addition to the bed as it allows us to ensure our child is safe within the safe perimeter that the bed provides. I am able to see my child at night easily with the camera’s night vision mode and can even talk to him if need be. If he needs soothed, we can also turn the music and lights on and I can even monitor the temperature of his room with the system. I believe the system sets the Safe Place bed even farther ahead from other competing bed companies as the Safe Place beds are well built, don’t look as intimidating to children as other safety beds do, and now include a monitoring system too.

Padded for Extra Safety
We’ve added padding to all four posts, upper rails, and baseboards, ensuring maximum comfort and protection. Stained beds come with black padding, while white beds feature white padding. Custom padding colors are available for an additional cost and may extend production time.

WARRANTY:  We offer a limited five-year warranty on the Permanent Bed. Should any parts be found defective during this period, we’ll replace them free of charge. For one year after purchase Safe Place Bedding will cover parts and labor. After the first year of the  5 year warranty Safe Place Bedding will cover parts and shipping only. Please note, returns are not accepted on Permanent Beds, and normal wear and tear, abuse, or damages from improper care are not covered.

 

What sets us apart from other bedding companies?

Our beds have a lower ceiling height by design. It is high enough for your adult or child to sit up but not to stand. Most special needs individuals feel safer in a small area. This helps them calm down and be able to rest. We want to provide a bed that is not just to keep your special needs individual in one place but one that can help them rest. 

The frame is made out of 1 inch thick Maple wood and hand crafted in Amish country. Designed for durability and long-lasting quality. 

The cover wraps around the top board of the frame to keep your bed lasting for years and years! When your loved one kicks the side of the bed the cover is able to pivot on frame helping to absorb the kick. 

Every bed come's standard with a monitor! So you always have eyes on your loved one.

Our mattress is 8 inches thick and fits tightly in our frames. Greatly reducing the risk of entrapment. 

We are registered with the FDA but we are also accredited by HQAA for quality standards. We are the only safety bed manufacturer in the country with this accreditation.
